The color may be somewhat pale relative to a real emerald tree boa, but I knew that from the outset because the product image is accurate to how the pin looks in real life. I I really like the scattered gold scales (presumably to mimic the white strips on ETBs), it makes it very pretty when reflecting.
I will say that the gold scales can make it look "paler" when the gold parts reflect more bright "gold" rather than dark like the images. However, when held such that the gold bits reflect "dark" like the images, it's basically a perfect match.
For the future, it may be a nice idea to include a video for a reference of how a pin looks when moving under light, especially with pins that rely on metal "coloring" like this one.
The design of this pin is awesome. It's great quality- it's shiny, sturdy, and has no scratches or imperfections. My only issue is that the color is surprisingly pale- it is much more a mild/ pale-ish spring green than it looks in the images- and is WAY less saturated than a real emerald boa. It is still a very nice and pretty pin though. I love that it has two pin backs- it keeps it secure and in place. Everything was shipped quickly, and was packaged securely. A cute extra sticker was included in my order for free, which I loved. I would highly recommend this shop, and would recommend this particular pin if you're interested in a milder green snake pin.
